Library and AR
Third graders are permitted to check out two books at a time from our school library. My rule at this time of the year is that both books should be “just right” books. Please refer to the Easy, Challenging, Just Right sheet for more information about the qualities of a “just right” book.
It is important that students bring their books to and from school each day. Our second graders are working hard to reach their 50 point AR goal this year. This means that they will need to take several AR tests each week and having their book at school is the first step.
It would be so helpful if you could set up a system at home that reminds the students to bring books to and from school daily. I will also do my best to ensure that books come home at the end of the day.
